摘要: Hydrogeologic factors influencing well yields in folded and faulted Cambro-Ordovician carbonate rocks shales were investigated central Pennsylvania. Productivity values (in gallons per minute foot of drawdown saturated thickness) obtained from 80 wells, the geometric mean value being 19.00, grouped into various categories according to location. Productivities for ranked plotted against percentage wells on logarithmic probability paper. Parametric nonparametric statistical tests applied; results are presented. Fracture trace more productive than nonfracture wells. Accidentally located fracture as intentionally because accidentally clustered rocks. The success ratio locating a is 4:6. Wells sandy dolomite coarse-grained dolomites best producers; valley bottoms those walls uplands; anticlinal better producers synclina wells; beds dipping at less 15° had higher others. Upper Sandy member Nittany have similar aquifer characteristics, which significantly different Bellefonte dolomite, limestones, shales.
