摘要: NONSTEROIDAL antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) inhibit prostaglandin synthesis. Because renal blood flow depends on prostaglandin, particularly when circulating volume is decreased, a recommendation has been made that NSAIDs be withheld before surgery because of the risk dysfunction. 1 However, there no report perioperative dysfunction attributable to preoperative administration NSAIDs, and recent review endorsed for minor outpatient procedures combined multimodality drug therapy including after surgery. 2 The authors case acute failure lumbar discectomy in young patient who was taking ibuprofen preoperatively.
