摘要: Inhibitory interneurons orchestrate information flow across cortex and are implicated in psychiatric illness. Although classes of have unique functional properties spatial distributions throughout the brain, relative influence interneuron subtypes on brain function, cortical specialization, illness risk remains elusive. Here, we demonstrate stereotyped organizational somatostatin parvalbumin related transcripts within human non-human primates. Interneuron recapitulate cortico-striato-thalamic networks track regional differences MRI signal amplitude. In general population (n=9,627), parvalbumin-linked genes account for an enriched proportion genome-wide heritable variance in-vivo This relationship is spatially dependent, following topographic organization expression independent post-mortem tissue. Finally, genetic schizophrenia among interneuron-linked predictive amplitude parvalbumin-biased regions. These data indicate that molecular basis resting-state function shaped by distribution interneuron-related underlies individual schizophrenia.
