摘要: Abstract The localization of plastic strain into macroscopic groups persistent slip bands has been determined on copper single crystals strain-cycled saturation. traverse the whole cross section and undergo complete reversibility with load reversibility. Although overall, surface steps form in proportion to applied strain, individual are not always completely reversed, leading rapid formation a notch-peak topography within bands. dislocation structure was determined, permitting critical assessment various mechanisms proposed for saturation low-strain cyclic deformation. Using existing ideas, an adequate model is based upon cooperative movement primary links between slip-band walls, but impeded their motion by point-defect clusters small debris.
