Tinea imbricata in Papua-Neuguinea: Behandlungsversuch mit Griseofulvin und Haloprogin bei einer Population des Gogol-Valley, Madang Province

摘要: Zusammenfassung: In zwei Dorfern des Gogol Valley (Papua-Neuguinea) wurden satliche 47 an Tinea imbricata erkrankten Personen erfas, wovon 39 einer Griseofuhin®- bzw. Mycan-den®-Therapie oder Kombination zugefuhrt wurden. Die Zuweisung zu den unterschiedlichen Behandlungsgruppen erfolgte anhand Alters und prozentualen Befalls der Korperoberflache. Therapiedauer betrug maximal 4 Wochen, Beobachtungszeitraum insgesamt 6 Wochen. Eine Remission Hautbefalls fur beide Therapeutika von 2. Behand-lungswoche an. Rezidive traten jedoch schon 1 Woche nach Therapieende auf. Es konnten Unterschiede in Altersverteilung Erkrankten beiden festgestellt werden; ein Unterschied im dorflichen Hygienestandard wird als Ursache diskutiert. Besonderheiten antimykotischen Therapie einem Entwicklungsland werden beschrieben. Summary: two villages of the (Papua New Guinea) all residents suffering from tinea (n=47) were registered. Thirty-nine these treated with either griseofulvin (Grisovin®) or topically haloprogin (mycanden®) a combination both drugs. Patients allocated to different treatment groups according age and percentage spreading skin lesions on body surface. Duration therapy was four weeks at maximum, total observation period six weeks. Treatment drugs yielded complete remission symptoms starting second week treatment. However, relapse occured one after cessation most cases. There differences distribution patients hamlets; addition, difference hygienic standard observed. The special quality antimycotic developing country is described.
