摘要: 1. 1) Mouthwashings taken from 251 subjects whose ages ranged 3 to 60+ years were investigated for the presence of yeast-like organisms. 2. 2) Yeast-like organisms recovered 25 per cent. children and 40 adults. 3. 3) Candida albicans was isolated 14 under 30 adults. Only two-thirds yeasts C. albicans. 4. 4) guillermondii, parapsilosis, krusei, tropicalis 10 unidentified constituted remaining third isolates. 5. 5) all kinds not found be associated with severe caries or gingivitis tonsillar enlargement. 6. 6) The results obtained in Samoa are compared those Dunedin, New Zealand, other surveys. There is a significantly higher incidence especially (P < .001) Zealand). variation techniques makes comparison findings difficult. 7. 7) following dermatophytes recorded: Trichophyton mentagrophytes, T. rubrum, tonsurans var. sulphureum, concentricum.
