摘要: Objective: To evaluate incidence and causes of anaphylactic reactions in the emergency room (E.R.) a general hospital Milan during 2-year period. Methods: We retrospectively studied computerized records patients discharged from an E.R. with diagnosis reaction. Anaphylaxis was established on presence at least two cutaneous, respiratory, gastrointestinal or cardiovascular system symptoms. Results: During 1997 1998, out 38 685 referred to E.R., 13 had severe anaphylaxis loss consciousness (LOC) 127 symptoms, without LOC. Of LOC, possible cause identified 12 (five foods, six drugs, one hair dye). In other related foods 49 cases (38.5%), drugs 44 (34.6%), unknown 29 (22.8%), hymenoptera stings (1.5%), three (2.3%). Conclusion: The 0.4% mainly affected females atopic subjects. Foods, particularly fruits vegetables, appeared be most important cause; were non steroidal antiinflammatory β-lactam antibiotics.
