摘要: The proliferation and differentiation of adult stem cells is balanced to ensure adequate generation differentiated cells, cell homeostasis, guard against malignant transformation. CD48 broadly expressed on hematopoietic but excluded from quiescent long-term murine HSCs. Through its interactions with CD244 progenitor it influences HSC function by altering the BM cytokine milieu, particularly IFNγ. In CD48-null mice, resultant misregulation signaling produces a more HSC, disproportionate number short-term progenitors, hyperactivation Pak1, leading hematologic malignancies similar those found in patients X-linked lymphoproliferative disease. plays vital role as an environmental sensor for regulating numbers inhibiting tumor development.
