A strong correlation (r2 = 0.916) was found between glutamate dehydrogenase (GDH) activity and ammonium excretion in Praunus flexuosus suggesting a key regulatory role for this enzyme. 2. The high level of GDH mysid sufficient to account all the excreted. 3. Activator-inhibitor studies imply that may regulate energy production growth, addition excretion. 4. assay presented here appears useful as technique quantifying zooplankton impacts world oceans.
