摘要: Flight direction is a major component of an animal's migratory success. However, few studies have focused on variation in flight both between and within individuals, which likely to be correlated with other traits implied migration processes. We report patterns intra- inter-individual the large white butterfly Pieris brassicae . The presence for individuals tested same conditions suggests that this trait inherited P. we propose rapid loss skills may exist absence selection migration. magnitude intra-individual was negatively two surrogates potential migration: mobility wing length. Highly mobile longed-winged family were found fly similar directions, whereas less short-winged displayed divergent compared average their kin. There also negative correlation variance mean its mobility, but no discuss these issues terms evolution potentially dispersal
