摘要: Thurber and Peterson (1991, Journal of Mammalogy, 72:750–755) analyzed data on body mass North American coyotes, speculated that the larger size eastern coyotes was most likely attributed to a phemotypic response enhanced food supply. We argue habits, cranial morphometrics, in captivity, behavior suggest rather this is due genetic factors represents an adaptation prey, namely, white-tailed deer.
