摘要: Polyphenols, commonly contained in fruits and vegetables, have long been associated with a protective role against multiple diseases adverse health effects. Generally, vitro animal experiments provided strong positive evidence, whereas evidence from vivo human epidemiological studies is not enough. Most to date use food frequency questionnaire based dietary intake estimations, which inevitably incur imprecision. Biomarkers of polyphenol the potential complement enhance current studies. This review performed literature search all or controlled clinical/intervention trials employed biomarkers exposure for polyphenols help assess their anticarcinogenic role, using on green tea as study model. Currently, this topic are still limited; breast cancer prostate were only widely studied types. Isoflavone polyphenol. In addition associations between risks, factors such host genetic susceptibility, epigenetic modification, gut microbiome patterns may also impact roles polyphenols. More should be collected by utilizing future before clear conclusion can made.
