Radial glial cells: defined and major intermediates between embryonic stem cells and CNS neurons

摘要: Radial glial cells have been identified as a major source of neurons during development. Here, we review the evidence for distinct "glial" nature radial and contrast these with their progenitors, neuroepithelial cells. Recent results also suggest that not only neurogenesis in vivo, but differentiation cultured embryonic stem toward neurons, progenitors clear antigenic characteristics act cellular intermediates.
