摘要: BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Atopic diseases, including asthma, eczema and allergic rhinitis, are characterized by a chronic inflammatory reaction mediated T helper 2 (Th2) cells, while type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1D) is (Th1) cells. The 'balance' between Th1 Th2 cells appears to be vitally important. Hence, it plausible hypothesis that the prevalence in Th2-mediated disease would lower patients with Th1-mediated disease. aim of this study was compare atopic diseases children T1D age-matched controls, investigate possible factors influence METHODS Parents Taichung Veterans General Hospital were requested pediatricians complete International Study Asthma Allergies Childhood questionnaire on diseases. Responses compared an control group. RESULTS Questionnaires evaluated from 100 194 controls. After age-matching, questionnaires 54 included. Symptoms rhinitis reported less often group (wheeze exercise, p=0.044; nasal symptoms itching eyes past 12 months, p=0.048; allergy ever, p=0.038; skin rash p=0.044). In addition, proportion any asthmatic symptom (such as wheezing once life, exercise dry cough at night months) significantly than controls (20.4% vs 36.6%, p=0.036). CONCLUSIONS These results indicate have symptoms, especially which consistent Th1/Th2 polarization concept. Environmental another direct development atopy patients.
