摘要: This study evaluated whether long-term supplementation with dietary yerba mate has beneficial effects on adiposity and its related metabolic dysfunctions in diet-induced obese mice. C57BL/6J mice were randomly divided into two groups fed their respective experimental diets for 16 weeks as follows: (1) control group high-fat diet (HFD) (2) HFD plus mate. Dietary increased energy expenditure thermogenic gene mRNA expression white adipose tissue (WAT) decreased fatty acid synthase (FAS) WAT, which may be linked to observed decreases body weight, WAT epididymal adipocyte size, plasma leptin level. Yerba also levels of lipids (free acids, triglycerides, total cholesterol) liver aminotransferase enzymes, well the accumulation hepatic lipid droplets content by inhibiting activities lipogenic such FAS phosphatidate phosphohydrolase, increasing fecal excretion. Moreover, insulin homeostasis model assessment resistance, improved glucose tolerance. Circulating gastric inhibitory polypeptide resistin group. These findings suggest that improving adiposity, dyslipidemia, steatosis.
