摘要: Biochemistry is a highly funded research area that typified by large teams and important for many areas of the life sciences. This article investigates citation impact Mendeley readership biochemistry from 2011 in Web Science according to type collaboration involved. Negative binomial regression models are used incorporate, first time, inclusion specific countries within team. The results show that, holding other factors constant, larger robustly associate with higher research, but including additional departments has no effect adding extra institutions tends reduce research. Although international apparently not advantageous general, United States, perhaps also some countries, seems increase impact. In contrast, collaborations nations decrease impact, although both findings could be due such as differing national proportions excellent researchers. As methodological implication, simpler statistical would find generally beneficial so it take into account when examining collaboration.
