摘要: Immunoglobulin A deficiency (IgAD) is the most common primary immunodeficiency, with suggested association various types of autoimmunity, including Graves' disease. This study investigated IgAD elevated thyrotropin-receptor autoantibodies (TRAb). IgA was measured in TRAb-seropositive individuals from both Iceland (N = 299] and Sweden 841]. In addition, TRAb levels were evaluated 43 Icelandic 50 Swedish using Medizym TRA immunoassay, positive samples re-evaluated BRAHMS TRAK human RIA. The HLA-genotyped to determine HLA-B, DR, DQ alleles. None 299 had IgAD, whereas, a high prevalence (14/841 (1:60)) observed cohort (p 0.027). TRAb-seropositivity was, however, increased cohorts. HLA-DQ6 allele associated TRAb-seronegativity within 0.037). 10 times higher than expected general population. Furthermore, seropositivity among individuals, Sweden, suggesting predisposition toward These findings underline significant autoimmunity its possible certain HLA-DQ
