摘要: Autoimmune diseases (ADs) are chronic conditions initiated by the loss of immunological tolerance to self-antigens. The pathogenic hypothesis comprises a complex interaction between genetic, environmental and hormonal factors that interact with an individual over time generating dysregulation immune system leading disease development. Several polymorphic genes contribute development ADs. Furthermore, age gender play major role influencing hormone levels can represent fulcrum unbalancing from susceptibility protection. Evidences suggest while all these steps occur, susceptible develops autoantibodies long lapse. Such autoantibody production is genetically determined finally, their presence seems determine clinical presentation genetic predisposition developments toward process may overlap. unveiling mechanisms could allow not only treat but also prevent autoimmune diseases.
