摘要: A number of neurodegenerative disorders have been attributed to abberrations intracellular Ca2+ homeostasis regulated by Ca2+-binding proteins. This chapter will focus on the S100B and S100A6 proteins, which are highly expressed in central nervous system. Their protein structures, localizations, association with brain pathology as well their potential use clinical diagnostics be discussed.
