摘要: Spontaneous electrical activity has been recorded through suction electrodes placed on gastrozooids and dactylozooids of the hydrocoral, Millepora complanala. Both types polyps showed contraction pulses (CP's) associated with contraction, small positive potentials (PP's). CP's are large, usually negative, monophasic, 0, 5–3 mV 20–50 msec duration; PP's (usually in bursts, PP burst) up to 0.5 15–50 msec. bursts occur spontaneously irregular intervals, means 106 sec (range from 79 205 sec) 67 (37 89 sec). Common input modulates firing resulting high degrees association nearby a low degree when about 11 cm apart. Similar data were found for burst. burst modulate individual polyps.
