摘要: Abstract The effect of a small amount alumina on the mechanical strength, thermal shock resistance, room temperature and high-temperature dielectric, ultra-high ablation properties fused silica ceramics prepared by aqueous gelcasting was investigated. Alumina addition promoted dissolution during slurry preparation. Compared to pure sample, flexural strength residual with 0.5 wt% (sintered at 1250 °C) reached 79.9 MPa 82.0 MPa, showing increases 19.3% 19.9%, respectively.
