Luminescence properties of violet-blue emitting Ca2MgSi2O7:Ce3+ phosphor prepared by solid state reaction method

摘要: Cerium doped di-calcium magnesium di-silicate phosphor namely Ca2MgSi2O7:Ce3+ was prepared by the solid state reaction method. The crystal structure of sintered an akermanite type which belongs to tetragonal crystallography. chemical composition confirmed energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. Thermoluminescence kinetics parameters [activation (E), frequency factor (s) and order (b)] discussed evaluated peak shape Under ultraviolet excitation (327 nm), two well known main luminescence bands with wavelength at 373 393 nm composed a broad band peaking 385 nm, belonging emission emits violet-blue color. This in Ce3+ ion is observed due 5d–4f allowed transition. Mechanoluminescence (ML) intensity increases linearly increasing impact velocity moving piston suggests that can be used as sensors detect stress object. time ML decay rate did not change significantly respect piston. Thus, present investigation indicates piezo-electricity responsible produce phosphor.
