摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter examines the extent to which an ischemically induced spatial memory performance deficit, in adult Mongolian gerbils, is ameliorated by hippocampal neurons, derived from fetal gerbils that are bilaterally transplanted into CA 1 field of ischemic dorsal formation. In experiment described chapter, transient cerebral ischemia was produced 80–100 g male gerbils. At end interval, clips were released and blood flow observed resume through each artery. Non-ischemic serving as sham-operated controls, underwent same surgical procedure except common carotid arteries not occluded. The probe test used. After test, ranked according severity their deficit. Similarly, they on basis open a passive avoidance paradigm. When number platform crossings training quadrant prior after transplantation determined, it found had undergone bilateral cell suspension whole hippocampi formation significant improvement during test.
