Temporal pattern of survival and dendritic growth of fetal hippocampal cells transplanted into ischemic lesions of the adult rat hippocampus

摘要: Cell suspensions obtained from the fetal hippocampus were transplanted into adult rat at 1 or 4 weeks after transient forebrain ischemia. Only when ischemia induced death of most CA1 pyramidal cells host and transplantation was performed week ischemia, did a large number survive extensive dendritic growth demonstrated by microtubule-associated protein 2 immunohistochemistry. The dendrites located in ventral part oriented ventrally, lining up similarly to parallel arrangements apical normal cells. These findings suggest that certain forms trophic factors, which appear occur association with presence free terminals afferent fibers during earlier period ischemic insult, are involved survival hippocampal
