摘要: Abstract Fifty-four adult male rats were divided into nine groups of six animals each and starved for the following periods time: 0, 3, 12, 24, 48, 72, 120, 168 216 hr. The series statements summarizes effect starvation on submaxillary gland these rats: (1) glands lost weight in proportion to loss body weight. (2) This was mainly due shrinkage size tubular acinar cells. (3) reduction cell tubules acini progressed with increasing duration starvation. (4) diameter convoluted likewise decreased related (5) lines regression increase density plotted as a function had same slopes indicating that both types at rate. (6) Acinar cells demonstrated more profound pathological changes than did equal inanition. (7) nuclei elongated those seemed have no shape nuclei. (8) value pre-experimental fasting purpose inducing synchronization secretory is questioned.
