摘要: Abstract The effects of debrisoquin, administered daily for 4 days to rats (40 mg kg , i.p.) and guinea pigs (4 i.p.), were determined urinary excretion several acidic neutral amine metabolites, including the norepinephrine 3-methoxy-4-hydroxyphenethylene glycol (MHPG) vanillylmandelic acid (VMA), dopamine 3,4-dihydroxyphenethanol (DHPE), 3-methoxy-4-hydroxyphenethanol (MHPE), homovanillic (HVA), octopamine metabolite, p-hydroxyphenylglycol (pHPG). MHPG was reduced 32% control in 46% pigs, HVA 64 80% these two species, respectively, MHPE lowered 59% rat but not affected pig. DHPE pHPG altered significantly either species. VMA a minor metabolite both being less than 6% MHPG, its formation blocked only partially (rat) or at all (guinea pig) by debrisoquin. data refute idea based on previous vitro studies that is major periphery pig as it man.
