摘要: The fish Vitellogenin (Vg) gene has been applied as a biomarker for exposure to estrogenic compounds in the aquatic environment. In this study, we cloned and characterized Vg cDNA from Korean rose bitterling Rhodeus uyekii (Ru-Vg). Ru-Vg encodes 1424-amino-acid polypeptide that belongs VgAo1 family contains putative signal peptide, lipovitellin I, phosvitin, II, but does not contain vWFD domain or C-terminal peptide. deduced protein high amino acid identity (73.97%–32.17%) with proteins. Pairwise alignment phylogenetic analysis revealed is most closely related Acheilognathus yamatsutae Vg. transcripts were detected using quantitative polymerase chain reaction all tissues tested, highest level of expression observed ovary. mRNA was upregulated R. hepatopancreas cells response treatment 17β-estradiol (E2) 17α-ethinylestradiol (EE2). Luciferase reporter expression, driven by 5'-regulatory region spanning −1020 bp start codon induced estrogen receptor synergistically activated E2 EE2. These results suggest may be useful biomarkers
