摘要: Taste perception plays an important role in regulating food preference, eating behavior and energy homeostasis. is modulated by a variety of factors, including gastric hormones such as ghrelin. Ghrelin can regulate growth hormone release, intake, adiposity, metabolism. Octanoylation ghrelin O-acyltransferase (GOAT) specific post-translational modification which essential for many biological activities GOAT are both widely expressed organs the gustatory system. In current study, overall metabolic profiles were assessed wild-type (WT), knockout (ghrelin−/−), (GOAT−/−) mice. Ghrelin−/− mice exhibited decreased increased plasma triglycerides ketone bodies compared to WT while demonstrating WT-like body weight, fat composition glucose control. contrast GOAT−/− reduced resting insulin levels Brief access taste behavioral tests performed determine responsivity WT, ghrelin−/− null possessed lipid responsivity. Furthermore, we found that salty was attenuated mice, yet potentiated Expression potential regulators Cd36 Gpr120 buds salt-sensitive ENaC subunit with The altered expression Cd36, may be responsible salt data presented study potentially implicates signaling activity modulation modalities.
