摘要: The present study examined the protective effects of seabuckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides L., SBT) seed oil on carbon tetrachloride (CCl(4))-induced hepatic damage in male ICR mice. Our results showed that oral administration SBT at doses 0.26, 1.30, and 2.60 mg/kg for 8 weeks significantly reduced elevated levels alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate (AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), triglyceride (TG), cholesterol least 13% serum, level malondialdehyde (MDA) liver 22%, was induced by CCl(4) (1 mL/kg) Moreover, treatment also found to increase activities superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase, glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), reductase (GSH-Rd), GSH content up 134%. optimal dose 0.26 mg/kg, as minimum amount exhibiting greatest hepatoprotective CCl(4)-induced injury. Overall, effect all tested be comparable silymarin (200 mg/kg) have been supported evaluation histopathology
