摘要: BACKGROUND Meticillin-resistant Staphylococcus pseudintermedius (MRSP) is becoming a more common pathogen in animals treated veterinary hospitals, raising concerns for transmission and possible contamination of the hospital itself. The identification effective agents decontamination patients hospitals crucial. Sodium hypochlorite (6.15%) or 'bleach' an inexpensive frequently used agent human adjunctive treatment patients. There are no published data on minimal bactericidal concentration (MBC) sodium MRSP. HYPOTHESIS/OBJECTIVES objective this study was to determine MBC against MRSP strains isolated from canine skin. METHODS In vitro study, 12 skin isolates were obtained Antech Diagnostics microbiology department. Twofold serial dilutions allowed react with each 15 min, followed by overnight incubation agar plates. Colonies plate counted. This process repeated triplicate. RESULTS overall skin-isolated 1:32, but most had between 1:64 1:128 dilution. CONCLUSIONS AND CLINICAL IMPORTANCE shows that at easily achievable concentrations.
