摘要: In the web of life, we are all interconnected. This connectivity extends beyond human domain and towards systems much larger than ourselves—the whole Earth’s species. As this paper illustrates, with non-human life is innate, deepening that connection to nature has positive influences on our well-being optimal functioning, above mere utilitarian value environment affords. Whether looking at through a window or being fully immersed, wild spaces good for mental physical health, likelihood engage in ecological behaviors, personal community resiliency well-being. Initiatives recognize importance also build powerful, positive, sustainable communities. When psychology notions more systems-based nature-inclusive, get deeper holistic understanding own psychology. We better prepared world which life—humans today future generations, as well plants, animals, planetary processes—can flourish regeneratively.
