摘要: Abstract Mercury (Hg) is a highly toxic pollutant that poses in risk several marine animals, including green turtles (Chelonia mydas). Green are globally endangered sea turtle species occurs Brazilian coastal waters as number of life stage classes (i.e., foraging juveniles and nesting adults). We assessed total Hg concentrations isotopic signatures (13C 15N) muscle, kidney, liver scute juvenile their food items from two grounds with different urban industrial development. found similar preferences specimens both areas but variable levels tissues reflecting the influence local backgrounds items. Some industrialized ground presented among highest ever reported for this species. Our results suggest exposed to burdens locally anthropogenic activities areas.
