摘要: Sustainable water management is becoming increasingly essential in an age characterised by rapid population and urban growth, industrial development climate change. Opportunities to promote conservation water-use efficiencies remain attractive directly reducing demand. Smart metering the provision of detailed feedback consumers present exciting new opportunities for improved management. This paper explores two smart trials New South Wales, Australia, which provided household consumption via (i) end-use reports (ii) online portal. combination enabled a deeper exploration various impacts metering. The positive effects uncovered research important opportunity contribute towards more sustainable Their summary contributes empirical evidence on utilities considering embarking journey with their customers. identification future policy needs sets agenda digital future. Larger scale are now required should integrate design plans scalable advanced programs at outset meter implementations.
