Synthesis of nontoxic Co:CuInS2@ZnS nanocrystals with both fluorescence and room temperature ferromagnetism

摘要: Room temperature ferromagnetism is the precondition of application diluted magnetic semiconductors. At present, nanocrystals (NCs) with room usually contain toxic elements, such as Cd. In this work, we report nontoxic Co:CuInS2 NCs, which exhibit ferromagnetism. After growth a ZnS shell outside bright fluorescence can be observed, making as-prepared Co:CuInS2@ZnS NCs both and Besides encapsulation, preparation fluorescent–ferromagnetic bi-functional also relates to doping amount Co. Excess Co dopant would quench whereas insufficient could not offset diamagnetism CuInS2@ZnS NCs. Only under appropriate do have
