摘要: During the past few decades, researchers have been looking for parameters with an impact on prognosis of patients astrocytic tumors. p53 is one most widely investigated molecules in human gliomas. We aimed to comprehensively review evidence prognostic usefulness immunohistochemical expression paraffin-embedded tissue specimens from diffusely infiltrating astrocytomas. conducted a systematic PubMed database through December 2007 identify cohort studies that evaluated as marker Estimates significance were extracted association tests and hazard ratios 95% CI actuarial curves Cox regression analyses. A meta-analysis was performed applied models had adjusted ratio tumor grade patients’ age. reviewed 44 publications (including 3,627 patients), 14 which included estimates (HR CI) derived regression. Descriptive analysis showed published articles did not contain information important variables such sex age (missing 25% 11% studies, respectively), previous treatment, tissue-retrieval follow-up period (56%). The quantitative synthesis significant factor (combined HR = 1.034, P 0.531). There no between-study heterogeneity publication bias. second only glioblastomas overall risk mortality these tumors −0.123 (−0.346 0.100) statistically significant. After almost 20 years research, does substantiate neoplasms.
