摘要: In a prospective study, the effects of elevation surgery maxillary sinus floor on physiology were assessed. Seventeen consecutive patients without preoperative anamnestic, clinical and radiological signs sinusitis underwent with iliac crest bone grafts. All subjected to unilateral endoscopic examination sinus, taking biopsy specimen from mucosa, collection lavage-fluid aspirate. This triad evaluations was performed immediately preceding procedure, 3 months (at implant insertion) 9 uncovering implants) postoperatively. procedures under general anesthesia. Preoperatively, three out 17 showed pre-existing mucosal pathology endoscopically, while 3- 9-month results revealed presence in four two patients, respectively. The 3-month microbiological evaluation significant increase cultures bacterial growth, culture comparable status sinus. Morphologically, neither fibrosis nor an altered inflammatory response or thickening epithelium lamina propria observed number goblet cells epithelial layer increased. From this study it is concluded that effect autogenous grafts does not appear have consequences sinusitis.
