摘要: The aim of this work was to discover whether genetic manipulation 6-phosphofructokinase [EC 2.7.1.11; PFK(ATP)] influenced the rate respiration tuber tissue Solanum tuberosum L. Transgenic plants were produced that contained coding sequence Escherichia coli pfkA gene linked a patatin promoter. Expression chimaeric in tubers resulted 14to 21-fold increase maximum catalytic activity PFK(ATP) without affecting activities other glycolytic enzymes. Tubers, and ‘aged’ disks tissue, from transformed showed no more than 30% fall content hexose 6-monophosphates; intermediates glycolysis increased threeto eightfold. Fructose-2,6-bisphosphate barely detectable aged tubers. relative rates 14CO2 production [1-14C]-and [6-14C]-glucose supplied control similar. Oxygen uptake CO2 by did not differ significantly those same true production, air, nitrogen, for tissue. It is concluded does dominate potato
