摘要: Objective: The quality of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), especially adequate compression depth, is associated with return spontaneous circulation (ROSC) and therefore recommended to be measured routinely. In the current study, we investigated relationship between changes transthoracic impedance (TTI) through defibrillation electrodes, chest depth coronary perfusion pressure (CPP) in a porcine model cardiac arrest. Methods: 14 male pigs weighing 28 34 kg, ventricular fibrillation (VF) was electrically induced untreated for 6 min. Animals were randomized either optimal or suboptimal group. Optimal manual 7 defined as decrease 25% (50 mm) anterior posterior diameter chest, while 70% (35 mm). After 2 min compression, attempted 120-J rectilinear biphasic shock. Results: There no differences baseline measurements groups. All animals had ROSC after compressions; this contrasted compressions, which only (100% vs. 28.57%, p = 0.021). correlation coefficient 0.89 TTI amplitude (p < 0.001), 0.83 CPP 0.001). Conclusion: Amplitude change correlated from defibrillator has potential serve an indicator monitor estimate during CPR. © 2012 Elsevier Ireland Ltd. rights reserved.
