摘要: Distant metastases from breast cancer most frequently occur in the skeleton. Although 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography (PET), with or without computed (CT), is superior to bone scintigraphy for detection of osteolytic metastases, it has been reported that sclerotic show no only a low degree FDG uptake on PET and PET/CT. Since both lytic can patients, may remain additional value these patients. In this case series, we describe four patients whom PET/CT clearly visualized because increased uptake. Not so much type metastasis (sclerotic lytic), but possibly characteristics primary tumor treatments prior scan might influence metastases. The ability detect based supports use as staging procedure knowledge factors determining visibility crucial.
