摘要: To evaluate retrospectively the accuracy of integrated PET/CT, against PET, CT, or conventional staging in breast cancer. Seventy consecutive biopsy proven clinical stage IIB and III cancer patients were included. Descriptive statistics PET/CT for primary tumor, nodal status metastasis detection compared to CT with contrast, (biochemistry, chest X-ray, liver ultrasound, bone scintigraphy). Sensitivity tumor was 97.1% 62.5%, respectively. Specificity negative predictive value 100% 66.6%, The values involvement 85.7% a sensitivity 87.5%. showed metastatic disease seven women despite normal staging. is able visualize most cancers. superior detecting internal mammary chain nodes disease, but not axillary Future studies will have test whether therapy adjustment based on has potential improve survival.
