摘要: Fos-lacZ and Jun-lacZ transgenic mice were used to assess the involvement of immediate-early genes in axotomy-transcription coupling pathway triggered by sciatic nerve injury neonates adults. Nerve transection transiently induced degenerating (neonatal) regenerating (adult) motor, but not sensory, neurons. In contrast, was persistently up-regulated both axotomized motor sensory neurons Thus, expression these did predict neuronal death or survival. As some undamaged neurons, this gene can be regulated direct (axotomy) indirect (transcellular) mechanisms. Indirect mechanisms also mediate denervated muscle, Schwann cells distal proximal stumps, satellite DRG following axotomy. either may regulate distinct sets target different cell types they subserve a single mechanism that is common many types.
