摘要: The Plasmodium falciparum translationally controlled tumor protein (TCTP) is a homolog of the mammalian histamine-releasing factor (HRF), which causes histamine release from human basophils and IL-8 secretion eosinophils. Histamine, IL-8, eosinophils have been reported to be elevated in patients with malaria. This study was undertaken determine whether malarial TCTP found plasma malaria-infected it has HRF biologic activity. Malarial lightly infected volunteers heavily Malawian children, but not uninfected patients. Recombinant TCTP, like HRF, stimulated vitro. Whereas less active than concentrations that were effective vitro could achievable vivo. These data suggest present during illness, may affect host immune responses
