摘要: This study aims to provide first insights on the impact of land-use intensification and soil properties in shaping composition N-cycling microbial communities Mediterranean peaty soils drained for agricultural purposes. An intensively cultivated represented by an intensive maize cropping system was compared with extensive grassland left abandoned 15 years. Clone-library sequencing based partial amoA nirK functional genes used characterize ammonia-oxidizer microorganisms nirK-type bacterial denitrifiers, respectively. The relative roles physico-chemical community were quantified multivariate analyses. Phylogenetic analyses showed that (i) majority sequences ammonia-oxidizing archaea (AOA) bacteria (AOB) grouped within Nitrosotalea Nitrosospira clusters, respectively; (ii) uncultured denitrifying unique our soil; (iii) shaped communities; (iv) driven clay (AOA), bulk density (AOB), exchangeable calcium (both AOA AOB); (v) denitrifier silt, ammonium, potassium. Based variation partitioning, primary determinants composition, while major factor AOB. These findings improve knowledge such vulnerable agrosystems aiming optimize management microbes order enhance sustainability N fertilization.
