摘要: Echocardiographic imaging is ideally suited for the evaluation of cardiac mechanics because its intrinsically dynamic nature. Because decades, echocardiography has been only modality that allows heart, it natural new, increasingly automated techniques sophisticated analysis have driven by researchers and manufacturers ultrasound equipment. Several such emerged over past decades to address issue reader's experience inter-measurement variability in interpretation. Some were widely embraced echocardiographers around world became part clinical routine, whereas others remained limited research exploration new applications. Two dominated arena echocardiography: (1) Doppler-based tissue velocity measurements, frequently referred as Doppler or myocardial Doppler, (2) speckle tracking on basis displacement measurements. Both types measurements lend themselves derivation multiple parameters function. The goal this document focus currently available allow quantitative assessment function via image-based local dynamics, including speckle-tracking echocardiography, well integrated back- scatter analysis. This describes current potential applications these their strengths weaknesses, briefly surveys a selection relevant published literature while highlighting normal abnormal findings context different cardiovascular pathologies, summarizes unresolved issues, future priorities, recommended indications use.
