摘要: Tocopherol monoglucoside (TMG), a water soluble derivative of vitamin E offers protection against deleterious effects ionizing radiation, both under in vivo and vitro conditions, to biological systems. TMG was found be potent antioxidant an effective free radical scavenger. It forms phenoxyl similar trolox upon reaction with various one-electron oxidants. protected DNA from radiation-induced strand breaks. also thymine glycol formation induced by gamma-radiation. Gamma-radiation-induced loss viability EL-tumor cells peroxidation lipids microsomal mitochondrial membranes were prevented TMG. nontoxic mice when administered orally up 7.0 g/kg body weight. The LD50 dose for ip administration 1.15 wt. In rats, following oral TMG, the absorption (distribution) half lives 5.8 3.0 min respectively elimination 6.7 3.1 respectively. Embryonic mortality resulting exposure pregnant radiation (2 Gy) reduced 75% (0.6 g/kg, wt) prior irradiation. offered whole gamma-radiation-induced lethality weight loss. LD50(30) increased 6 6.72 Gy post irradiation single ip.
