摘要: Background:  Nuchal translucency (NT) measurement is the ultrasound component of first trimester combined screening for Down syndrome. In 2002, a NT education and monitoring program was established in Australia. Between 2002 2008, total 728 502 scans were audited through this process. Overall aim:  To audit availability performance certified operators measuring following implementation Australian 2002. Methods:  Retrospective review central database that used to monitor individuals practices performing both public private practice settings throughout Australia between 2008. The assessed by widely international standard – 40–60% measurements should be above median value gestational age. Results:  number has increased (from 184 477 2008). There wide variation states per birth. percentage with distribution meeting from 40% 55% Greatest improvement been seen 30–199 year. no overall over last three cycles. Conclusions:  perform scan since although some remains low. An initial appears have reached plateau. It time become more proactive engaging cycle.
