摘要: Abstract Lipidomics and metabolomics have emerged as important tools for the characterization of specific physiological pathological traits. The selection analytical approaches choice a targeted rather than an untargeted strategy in find their reasons driving hypothesis study, sample features instrumental availability. Moreover, last years, − omics found application study sex-related dimorphism. In this review, lipidomic metabolomic analyses are presented biomedical perspective. Here, we provide updated overview covering recent applications lipidomics area differences human preclinical models. Experimental evidence underlines that sex is one most relevant biological variables significantly influencing profiles. This knowledge can be exploited identification novel sex-specific biomarkers innovative targets gender medicine.
