Denial of prescription analgesia among people who inject drugs in a Canadian setting

摘要: Introduction and Aims Despite the high prevalence of pain among people who inject drugs (PWIDs), clinicians may be reluctant to prescribe opioid-based analgesia those with a history drug use or addiction. We sought examine correlates PWIDs reporting being denied prescription (PA). also explored reported reasons for actions taken after PA. Design Methods Using data from two prospective cohort studies PWIDs, multivariate logistic regression was used identify PA. Descriptive statistics were characterise denials subsequent actions.
