摘要: Cytokine and cytokine receptor gene knockout mice provide powerful experimental systems to characterize the functions of these molecules in resistance infectious disease. Such may also unique models immune deficiency learn whether manipulation response can overcome specific dysfunction. We demonstrate that IFN gamma (GKO-/-) intracellular bacterium Listeria monocytogenes is severely impaired compared with wild-type mice. However, immunization GKO-/- an attenuated L. strain generates antigen-specific CD8 T cell responses transfer immunity naive hosts. Furthermore, vaccinated themselves exhibit 20,000-fold increased challenge virulent this appears be mediated. These studies vaccination-induced absence a critical for acute infection.
