摘要: The interaction of mosquito immune system with Plasmodium is critical in determining the vector competence. Thus, blocking crucial molecules that regulate parasite development might be effective controlling disease transmission. In this study, we characterized a full-length AsHPX15 gene from major Indian malaria Anopheles stephensi. This true ortholog gambiae heme peroxidase AgHPX15 (AGAP013327), which modulates midgut immunity and regulates falciparum development. We found highly induced developmental stages blood fed midguts. addition, lineage-specific has identical features 65–99% amino acids identity other HPX15 genes present eighteen worldwide-distributed anophelines. discuss conserved serve as common target to manipulate arresting inside host.
